Cork oak
I’m delighted to introduce my latest print, Cork Oak, created for the 6th edition of London Roots by Print Smith and Carter Wong Design. This inspiring project celebrates London’s status as one of the world’s largest urban forests, officially recognized by the UN.
With over 8.4 million trees across the city, we focused on eight remarkable and historic specimens that showcase the natural beauty and resilience of London. This summer, I had the privilege of spending a few (mostly sunny) days documenting these ancient wonders, capturing their unique textures and stories.
Cork Oak pays tribute to one of these extraordinary trees, emphasizing its rich textures and enduring presence in the city’s landscape. Each print in this series offers a glimpse into the deep-rooted history and natural heritage thriving within London.
